International Selection Show 2016 : 50 candidate-stallions qualified for Gesves
Increase of 25 % in candidates compared to 2015. SBS is more attractive than ever !
This was the verdict of the judges’ commission at the end of Tuesday january 19th: 50 candidate-stallions aged from 3 to 10 years old, with a positive veterinary rapport are allowed to continue the stallion approval procedure for sBs at the next edition of the International Selection Show.
This is an increase of exactly 25 % compared to previous year, but also another symptom of enthousiasm from the breeding sector for the 3th Stud-Book on world level. All this illustrates the fact that the stallion holders consider the International Selection Show as “the place to be” at the start of te breeding season !
Good news is also that quality goes shoulder to shoulder with quantity, with prestigious pedigrees that you will discover yourself, together with the fact that half of the candidates with a succesfull veterinary rapport and accepted candidacy by our judges’ commission are registred by birth at sBs. This proves that not only breeders and stallion holders are trusting sBs, but that they are determinated to put the entire career of their best horses under sBs wings.
Next official stallions approval in figures: 34 three year olds, 13 four year olds, one 5 year old, one 6 year old and one 10 year old will be present in Gesves. Or 44 candidates for jumping and 6 for dressage. Or even 46 horses and 4 ponies.
This will be the program of the very instructive an emotional weekend in the riding school of Gesves at 5-6 March 2016 !
