Pan American Games 2019 : ¡Vamos!
Two individual top-10 and two team medals for our SBS.
Last week, at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, excellent riders competed against each other to win their golden tickets to the Tokyo Olympic Games of 2020.
Two of our representatives out of the 54 who had qualified shone brightly at this prestigious competition. Indeed, they both distinguished themselves during the individual events, but also during the team events, granting themselves two top 10 and two medals!
After 3 days of rough competition, Eve Jobs (USA) and Venue D’Fees des Hazalles (Président/Alcatraz – breeder: D. Lamette in B-6940 Barvaux-sur-Ourthe) not only won 5th place in the individual final over 1m60, but they also took 3rd place of the Jumping Team, bringing back the bronze medal to the USA.
Pedro Veniss (BRA) and his faithful Quabri de l’Isle (Kannan/ Socrate de Chivre), SBS approved stallion, also played their cards right as they placed 7th in the individual final before a series of clear round in the team event - with the exception of 1 time penalty -, which allowed them to win the gold medal of these Pan American Games 2019.
Finally, let’s head to Europe, where two other SBS standed out, namely H&M ALL-IN (Kashmir van Schuttershof/Andiamo Z – breeder : B. Huijbregts in NL-4891 Pv Rijsbergen), under the saddle of Peder Fredricson (SWE), who finished 4th at the CSI5* of Valkenswaard (NED) over 1.55m, as well as DINKY TOY VD KRANENBURG (Ugano Sitte/Kimball - breeder: J. Leterme in B-8980 Zandvoorde) and his rider Lorenzo de Luca (ITA) who finished 2nd at the CSIO5* Nations Cup in Dublin (IRL) before winning 3rd place at the Grand Prix yesterday.
Next big event : the Longines FEI European Championships from 19th to 25th August! (ML)
